Africa is the only continent in the world where people still face starvation, malnutrition and hunger on a large scale. The green revolution which helped Europe, America and Asia to achieve food security in the 1970s totally eluded Africa. This blog is meant to bring together people and institutions that are committed to fighting hunger, starvation and malnutrition in Africa. Over the last 15 years SACRED Africa (the sustainable Agriculture centre for Research and Development in Africa...www.sacredafrica.com has been working practically with farmers in Africa to improve food productivity and income while protecting the environment. through this blog SACRED Africa hopes to share its experiences in the area and provide a platform at which new ideas can be shared and explored.
